About Caleb Agada
My name is Caleb Agada, I am a professional basketball player and founder of The AgadaBall Charity, a non-profit organization focused on helping marginalized BIPOC (Black Indigenous People Of Colour) youth who have basketball aspirations all over the world.
I was born in Nigeria and raised in Burlington, Ontario. I come from a low income, single parent background, having lost my father at a very young age. Being a visible minority added its set of challenges and made life very difficult. Despite the many challenges, however, with the help of some very good people who I came across in the journey of my life, I was able to accomplish my dreams of becoming a professional basketball player.
The challenges I experienced as a disadvantaged black immigrant born in Nigeria and raised in Canada gave me a keen appreciation of what kids from similar backgrounds face on a daily basis. This appreciation left me with a passion to assist disadvantaged BIPOC youth who have basketball aspirations. This passion culminated in the creation of the AgadaBall Charity.
